YOUNG EMERGING AUTHORS BOOK LAUNCH

The Telling Room presents a reading and celebration of four exotic new titles:

• YOU CAN EAT THAT? A Cookbook of Invasive Species from Coastal Maine, by 17-year-old phenom Oliver Curtis;
• TRAIT, a science-fiction novella by Freeport’s own Aidan Trotter;
• ABOUT THE BONES, a YA murder mystery thriller by the ghoulish Olivia Peelen;
• and THE STARS ARE THE SAME EVERYWHERE, an illustrated semi-autobiographical novel by Iraqi-born, motorcycling, airplane-jumping, writer/artist, and proud Portlander Maryam Abdullah.

This event is free and open to the public. This year’s crop of Young Emerging Authors will address the audience and read from their books, which will be available for purchase and signing.
