Olas : Film and Performance

Olas The Film is a portrait of the music, the dance, the people, the lives, the partnerships and the friendships of Olas.  Join us for the film’s premiere, as well as post-film performance by Olas.

Capturing the fantasies and dreams along with the realities and workings of its members, Olas The Film seeks to reveal the layers of our individual lives and the spirit that emerges when we congregate to play, dance, rejoice and unite.  Filmed and edited by Scott Sutherland and Dave Camlin over the course of the past year and a half, it takes the form of two interlacing threads: studio footage shot during the recording of Olas’ four song EP at The Studio Portland, as well as individually designed vignettes by each of Olas’ members, Molly Angie, Dylan Blanchard, Lindsey Bourassa, Megan Keogh, Tom Kovacevic, Leif Sherman-Curtis, Chriss Sutherland, and Anna Trunzo. Featuring additional contributions from Nerea Pérez Lecue, María Paz Garaloces and Jeremiah Johnson.
