The Wayfinding Series
3:00PM - 9PM
at Congress Sq. Park
Do you think progress is possible? If so, what do you think progress is? What can be done here? now? in your own life? Commenced in May of 2012, The Wayfinding Series is an ongoing socially-engaged art work in which artists Emily Puthoff and Elena Sniezek are having conversations with people across the country about their ideas of progress. While in residence at Sculpture Space in Utica, NY, Emily Puthoff designed and built the teardrop trailer that serves as the basecamp for the Wayfinding Series. She modified original 1950′s Popular Mechanics plans for the DIY teardrop trailer. The teardrop trailer features a large solar-powered TV to screen the Wayfinding Film Festival, a nomadic, 90 minute program of short films which address the theme of progress.
