Popscapes with Natalie Lanese from Thalassa Raasch on Vimeo.
We’re thrilled to welcome Thalassa Raasch as our videographer in residence. We’re expertimenting with new formats for residencies and when Thalassa came to us with her video expertise, we realized a residency would be an exciting platform for collaboration. In the next few months she’ll be following around our visiting artists with her camera and making short video pieces about our exhibitions. We love the video she made about Natalie Lanese’s Popscapes, and we can’t wait to see what else she’ll come up with.
Thank you Thalassa!
Thalassa Raasch grew up in Minnesota and is currently based in Portland, Maine. A graduate of Harvard University and the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, Thalassa’s documentary art projects have brought her from rural Vermont to the Indian Himalayas; from the introspective beekeeper to the visual – but blind – couple. She has produced video work for the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, Make-A-Wish-Maine®, the Portland Radio Group, and One Longfellow Square. Her personal work has been featured on DownEast.com and Freerange Nonfiction, and exhibited at United Photo Industries, Engine, and Frontier Gallery among others.
