First Friday Art Walk & Ride : Seeking Alt. Routes Reception

Join us as we kick of Bike Month with the opening of our experimental, community driven project titled Seek Alt. Routes: Recording Bicycle-Powered Experiences. This exhibit invites you, the community, to go for a ride and share your experiences with us. An open forum for collectively expressing praise for bicycles, we hope you will contribute your thoughts, findings and experiences in this fun, abstract mapping project.
Portland’s Slow Riders will be taking off at sunset, slowly riding through the streets adorned in costumes and wearing smiles throughout the city until sundown. Stay tuned for more info on how to get involved in the ride.
When: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Where: Monument Square, Congress Street
Bring: Bike, Lights and friends
Why: Slow ride, take it easy. Thumping beats down the streets through arts district, western promenade, old port to east side trail and back.
