Tea Gathering with Zoë Mason and Susan Bickford
4:00-6:30pm
Zoë Mason, the creator and tender of Luna Moth Herbs, is thrilled to collaborate with Forest Therapy Guide and founding artist of the (stillness) collective Susan Bickford to host an afternoon tea on March 23rd from 4-6:30pm, within the exhibit Bodies of Weather at SPACE.
Zoë is a longtime friend, former artist participant and cook for the (stillness) project.
You are invited to relax and take in the installation slowly, with a cup of tea grown and crafted by Zoë.
Luna Moth Herbs, a half-acre herb farm and apothecary in South China, Maine, was launched with the intention to connect humans with plants through growing, healing, ritual, indulgence and creative food and drink. Zoë will be offering cups and pots of tea, as well as a display of herb and tea products.

Invitation in Verse
by Zoë Mason
The body arrives.
The mind hovers, hesitates.
Aromas hover, plants steep.
They fill out the green memory
of their dry forms in the tea pot.
I lift the lid and steam
basks my cheeks in warmth.
Fresh beach roses,
salt, sand under my heels.
Oh, the memories carried on droplets of scent!
Holding a warm vessel,
slowing down. Sips.
Tasting.
Sips. Listening.
The smooth weight of the mug.
Feeling my weight on the earth.
