Two nights of mid-summer dance party bliss from the Moonshake crew.

Featuring a headline set from Detroit-based DJ BEIGE and MsWrecks from Portland.

Curators of SPACE’s 2022 and 2023 New Year’s parties, an outdoor festival in Hiram, and countless underground parties, the Moonshake crew hosts a two-night celebration with international and local DJs, an immersive light show, and custom sound design. Expect proper dance party vibes like nothing else you’ll experience in Portland this season— with mixes spanning house, disco, electro, dancefloor, techno, and beyond.

Featuring…

BEIGE (Detroit)
Based in Detroit and vinyl-trained, BEIGE specializes in multi-hued, carefully considered and highly danceable sets. Whether they’re playing smooth R&B and downtempo soul, crunchy electro, cheeky disco edits or oddball tech house, the only constant in their sets is quality. They made their club debut proper in Detroit in 2017, immediately grabbing the attention of the cognoscenti with their wide-ranging, on-point selections and silky, inventive transitions. Uninterested in gimmickry or self-promotion, they prefer to let their work speak for itself, collecting a growing number of fans and increasingly impressive bookings along the way.

MsWrecks
(Portland)
MsWrecks is Portland’s self-described premiere milf dj, playing sets that are hip hop heavy, usually with some surprise throwbacks, and always designed to make you throw some booty. Come get sweaty and don’t disappoint mom.

FRIDAY NIGHT LINEUP

DJ Ladi Dre (New Hampshire)
DJ Ladi Dre plays a mix of jungle, house, disco and world; a blend of unpopular bangers mixed with new remixes of the classics. She creates an atmosphere that feels sexy and fun. Her sets are bright with an emphasis on celebrating life and each other, mixed with some darker, edgier songs to create balance. All of the music is meant to encourage people to move their bodies by themselves and with each other!

DJ Ben Spalding (Portland)
Benjamin Spalding is an artist and DJ living in Portland, Maine. Inspired by dance music’s queer roots, he plays a variety of music, ranging from pumping disco, sultry house, and leftfield techno. He plays across Portland at various venues, and is currently the resident DJ for Cocktail Mary’s party Loverboi.

Cecil G. (Portland)
Portland-raised and Chicago-informed, Cecil’s drumming background and depth of musical knowledge influences his organic feel behind the decks. His eclectic sets weave together sweaty disco edits, classic house burners, nostalgic bops, and infectious rhythms. He is also the audio side of Moonshake, crafting sets to match the premium production quality of the duo’s events.

Moonshake
Moonshake is a labor of love birthed out of the necessity to dance in a field in Hiram, Maine, in summer 2021 by a crew of people, but primarily driven by Chris Gilman and Cecil Gardner ever since. These two have thrown a number of successful events in Portland since 2021 including the last two sold out New Year’s Eve celebrations at SPACE.

“We are honored to be given the opportunity to throw a two-night event with extended hours at our favorite Portland venue. This lineup features some of our favorite local and regional selectors on the lineup and we get to welcome a top tier international talent in BEIGE. This is the biggest Moonshake event yet! Let’s dance!”
