Young Emerging Authors Book Release

Here they are! The Telling Room’s most talked-about new books of the year: 

All four books will be launched at a free, all-ages celebration at SPACE on Tuesday, August 16 at 3:30pm! 

These books books are the result of the huge dreams and hard work of the fellows–Elizabeth Flanagan, Rylee Sinclair, Raina Sparks, & Kathleen Thomas–in The Telling Room’s Young Emerging Authors fellowship program.

Come support these new book authors! Hear their stories, take part in a Q&A, and buy signed copies of their books. All proceeds will help keep this writing and publishing program and others at The Telling Room free for participants.

The Telling Room is a nonprofit writing center in Portland, Maine, dedicated to the idea that children and young adults are natural storytellers. Focused on young writers ages 6 to 18, we seek to build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and provide real audiences for our students. We believe that the power of creative expression can change our communities and prepare our youth for future success.
