Dinner on Congress

Ana Inciardi

SPACE is pleased to present the first-ever gallery presentation of the work of printmaker and an awardee of our 2022 ARP Maine Project Grants, Ana Inciardi. Celebrated nationally in everything from food stores to the Whitney Museum lobby, the New York Times T Magazine declared “The Portland, Maine-based linocut printmaker Anastasia Inciardi has found a new way to connect with collectors” with her signature Mini Print Vending Machines. On view in the SPACE Window Gallery will be a salon presentation of her linocut food prints, and the actual physical linoleum plates she makes her prints from.

Locally, you can collect Inciardi’s mini-prints (for just four quarters) through a vending machine at one of our friends like Soleil right here on Congress Street, The Post Supply on Washington Avenue, and Broadturn Farm in Scarborough, each with a signature print collection.

Ana Inciardi is a relief printmaker and the creator of the Mini Print Vending Machine. She’s from Brooklyn, New York, and is currently based in Portland, Maine. Food has always inspired her art as it connects her to the people she loves most: her friends, her Italian American family, and her fiancée, Addison, an organic vegetable farmer. Accessibility was her goal when developing the Mini Print Vending Machines, which price each mini print at one dollar. Now, her machines can be found all across the country, with more being added each week. Brands Ana has partnered with include: HBO, The Whitney Museum, Books Are Magic, Fishwife, Duolingo—the list goes on. She feels very fortunate to have built a career and life around the celebration of food, eating, accessibility, and community.
