The fresh Portland 7-piece defies genres on their debut album, with jazz-laden vocals, classical guitar, arranged strings and horns, and intricate guitar and bass lines, amid a kinetic alternative rock pulse.
Alma June and the Persian Cats‘ sonic palette is an eclectic blend of musical styles that breaks down rigid genre boundaries. Although it never sidesteps nostalgia, their inventive sound is difficult to compare. The seven-piece features jazz-influenced vocals; classical fingerstyle guitar; neo-romantic viola stylings that weave into free-flowing beats; and intricate upright bass lines juxtaposed with a mournful multi-phonic horn section.

S.C.O.B.Y. is a progressive metal band from Maine, currently based in Portland. They draw influences from modern and classic progressive metal/rock, nu metal, math rock, hardcore, alt rock, punk, and shoegaze. Their songs contain melodic runs and sprawling, iconic big-chord riffs, as well as the occasional catchy chorus or shouted verse.

Independent singer/songwriter Ana Blosset, captures the complexity of figuring out one’s identity while navigating struggles that often go unspoken. Now based in Boston Massachusetts but reflecting on an upbringing in South America, she continues to write and perform songs that speak directly to what you’ve been feeling, letting you know you’re not alone.
