Dance your way into climate action!
SPACE is thrilled to partner with Wolfe’s Neck Center in Freeport to present the Climate Solutions Dance Party on Saturday, May 9 in collaboration with Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. Because climate work should include joy, music and community, we’re bringing people together for a night of dancing, connection and climate optimism. Let’s groove along to music from DJs for Climate Action.
The event is a celebration of the paperback release of Ayana Elizabeth Johnson’s New York Times-bestselling book What If We Get It Right?: Visions of Climate Futures, an inspiring collection of possibilities for building a better climate future.
Want a ride to the party? Gather at the Park and Ride at 274 Marginal Way in Portland. A free community shuttle leaves for the party at 6 pm and returns later that night!
The first 200 people to arrive will receive a copy of the new book. Grab your tickets before they sell out.
Local nonprofits will be offering ways people can get involved with climate solutions.
Food by Noble Pizza and oysters by Maine Ocean Farms.
Maine Beer Co, Oyster River Winegrowers, and Aprés will be pouring drinks! N/A beverages available.
