Heavy hitters of the local scene join forces with Philly’s Honey Radar for a midsummer night of hazy rock gems.

Biz Turkey brings together longtime friends and musical collaborators Graham Wood, Matt Retzer, Josh Hunter, Todd Lesser, and Conrad Carpenter. Their self-titled album was recorded across scattered sessions since 2016 and blends jangly and sweeping guitars with long walks on the bass. Many of the song’s lyrics are inspired by overheard business-speak both in person and on zooms.

Blending pessimistic pop instincts with electric, guitar-driven indie rock, Biz Turkey evokes the melodic melancholy of Built to Spill and Grandaddy, filtered through the cracked optimism of coastal Maine. Their songs drift between power-pop clarity and atmospheric wander, balancing introspective lyrics with tightly woven musicianship. The result is music that feels both expansive and intimate—a basement band staring toward the horizon.

Lo-fi, catchy and classic-sounding, Honey Radar’s albums evoke a dirt-covered Nuggets collection from an alternate universe.

Formed by songwriter Galen Richmond alongside Kate Sullivan-Jones, Jeff Hamm, and Jason Unterreiner, Gum Parker emerged from a web of interconnected Portland bands that stretches across decades of Maine indie rock history. Richmond’s songwriting combines the nervous energy of 90s indie rock with an instinct for irresistible pop hooks, while the band’s collective chemistry transforms those songs into something simultaneously ragged and meticulously crafted. Their debut album The Brakes was released in 2025 on Richmond’s label Repeating Cloud.

Portland, Maine’s Phantom Buffalo has been playing indie/folk/pop since 1998. They blend storytelling, jangly guitar strumming and vintage synth sounds in their whimsical songs about animals, luna moths and characters from other worlds.

They’ve released four studio albums on labels such as Time-Lag Records, Rough Trade, and Microcultures and they have a forthcoming fifth album due later this year. This show will include a lot of favorites from the first album and the lineup will be: Jonathan Balzano Brookes, Tim Burns and Sean Newton. Hayes Porterfield will be joining them on drums
