Artist Statement:
“The most interesting ideas lie at the point of intersection and entanglement, and my work investigates that location. I explore the dueling elements of our relationship to our spaces and environments and how we control and manipulate them. I want to unravel the complexity of our actions and decisions in the increasingly disjointed and abstract nature of our social and physical existence. Using common materials and sumptuous color, this work portrays the tension between aspiration and reality, attempting to coexist in the same domain, aiming to combine two opposing worlds only to discover that the rigid structure that we strive for is unattainable.”
