SCAVENGER
Andy Rosen
Off Site
SPACE Gallery and The Community Recycling Center in Scarborough are teaming up to host Andy Rosen as an Artist in Residence at the CRC this summer. Andy has long used found materials in his work, especially discarded lumber scraps, branches and logs. Working with the staff at the CRC, Andy will select materials from the piles at the CRC to incorporate into a new sculpture. He will work on site, adjacent to the drop off area where area residents bring their lawn clippings, scrap metal, construction debris and household trash.
Andy will be working on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through the month of June. We encourage visitors to the CRC to talk with Andy and check in on his progress with the project.
We will have an opening reception Saturday July 13, 2013, 8am to 11am to introduce the finished work.
