Daisy Braun

Daisy Braun spent her time in residence at SPACE developing the gallery exhibit D R / F T, a sculptural installation centered on plankton.

Daisy Braun is an interdisciplinary artist from Peaks Island, Maine. She earned a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, dual majoring in Interdisciplinary Sculpture and Humanistic Studies.

Through sculpture, drawing, performance, and animation, Braun explores biological forms, cycles, and interconnection. She aims to make work that is part of everyday life–– she most enjoys exhibiting in public spaces, and embraces collaboration. Currently, Braun is creating a diverse body of wearable sculptures inspired by plankton. Braun recently exhibited in Budapest, Hungary, and Baltimore, Maryland.
