Artist bio

Daisy Hutt is an artist originally from rural Vermont. She moved to Portland in 2018 to attend Maine College of Art and graduated with a degree in ceramics in 2021. Daisy now manages the Tannery Brook community pottery studio in Gorham, Maine, and teaches wheel throwing classes to all age groups. She often leads community outreach clay and painting classes at memory care homes, senior living centers, and most recently created a ceramics program with the women at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham. Daisy’s goal is to continue to make pottery accessible and use it as a building block for bridging gaps and fostering community.
