Pendeja Studio is a multidisciplinary creative alliance whose mission is to facilitate representation for first-generation immigrants, black and brown people, and underrepresented and underserved communities.

Pendeja Studio: the Workshop Series is a series of 3 workshops taught, lectured, or hosted by artists, workers, and people of color in Portland. The goal of the Workshop Series aligns with Pendeja Studio’s mission - to facilitate representation for black and brown people, by black and brown people. Each 3-hour workshop will explore topics surrounding race, stories of people who grew up in underrepresented communities, and/or a skill/art/practice that the workshop instructor would like to teach that resonates with their identity. The goal is to use this platform and opportunity to shed light on issues that black and brown bodies experience, especially living in a predominantly white area like Maine.
