Queer Makers’ Market
The Queer Makers' Market is a monthly market and vibrant community of local makers who identify as lgbtqia+, founded in 2021.
The Queer Makers' Market is, first and foremost, a gathering of people often frustrated, denied, or at odds with traditional modes of building community and wealth. It is a colorful and heartbreakingly talented group of people for whom life is often a series of arguments about why they should continue to exist.
Robyn Nicole (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Scarborough, Maine with her girlfriend, two housemates, two cats, and many fragments of creative projects everywhere all the time. She runs the Queer Makers' Markets, a vibrant haven for makers of all kinds who identify as part of the lgbtqia+ community. In her personal work, she draws inspiration from her experiences as a queer person, vintage textiles, and enthusiastic people watching.
