An evening of multi-channel sound, spatial audio, and experimental music, electronic and electro-acoustic curated by Portland musicians Ron Harrity and Patrick Carey. A Sonic Visions Fund commission.

Aftersound is an ongoing listening series focused on multi-channel / spatial audio performances and installation works presented in various Maine locations, organized by Ron Harrity and Patrick Carey.

Grace Bedwell makes electro-acoustic and electronic experimental music. Based out of Portland, Maine, she is interested in creating sound to experience bodily and aurally, to satisfy experiences, and to suspend and alter time perception through audio output.

E. Jason Gibbs is an internationally recognized field recordist, composer, and sound artist whose work has been published throughout the U.S, Britain, and the EU. He has been active in experimental music performance and recording since the late 1980’s. Over the past 10 years his practice has shifted from improvised music to field recording and soundscape composition. Central to the work is the theme of walking and listening as a way of understanding the world. Through travel and exploration, Jason investigates and exposes the relationship between the built (manufactured) and natural worlds. Of particular interest is discovering and recording h\w humans impose themselves on nature and shape diverse environments.

id m theft able is a composer, musician and performer active within and without the realms of avant-improvisation, noise, sound poetry, sound art and performance art using extended vocal techniques, found objects, homemade instruments, various electronics, and whatever else is he might happen to find useful in the moment. He has given well over a thousand performances across 4 continents in over 40 different countries in settings ranging from the filthiest of basements to the fanciest of festivals and has over 100 album releases (both solo and collaborative) to his name.

A SPACE Sonic Visions Fund commission, made possible with support from the Onion Foundation.
