Anticipating Sea-Level Rise

DESIGNING PORTLAND’S WATERFRONT FOR THE FUTURE

This event is being presented by Portland Society for Architecture and will be directly influenced by and influencing the current exhibit they have put together, Waterfront Visions 2050, that considers smart approaches to designing for a rising water level. Roundtables of symposium participants facilitated by designers, planners, engineers and developers consider adaptation plans for each section of the waterfront. The resulting graphic representations will then be added to the exhibition, allowing for greater discussion and idea sharing.
