Be Kind Rewind
In appreciation of Videoport for 28 years of steadfast dedication to Portland’s movie-watching culture — a free screening of Michel Gondry’s modern videostore classic, Be Kind Rewind at sunset in Congress Square Park.
Two bumbling store clerks (Jack Black and Mos Def) inadvertently erase the footage from all of the tapes in their video rental store. In order to keep the business running, they re-shoot every film in the store with their own camera, with a budget of zero dollars.
Presented with Friends of Congress Square. Film starts at sunset. Dress warm!
