Borscht & Balaclavas: A May Day Soup Line

Alleged Pussy Riot and Voina members Maria Alekhina, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Ekaterina Samucevich’s face seven years in prison for allegedly performing a political performance art piece, “Punk Prayer,” at a Moscow Cathedral. Come eat a specially-prepared bowl of borscht to raise money for their legal defense and to learn more about the three women whom Amnesty International has recently designated Prisoners of Conscience.  We’ll also be screening a montage of Pussy Riot and Voina performances.
