Join chickadeeds for an afternoon with Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project to demonstrate that Maine is a place of inclusion, compassion, and action.
Volunteers will:
❤️ Learn about the power of civic engagement and lend voices to an important cause
✍ Create a petition-style letter to Senator Collins, urging her to advocate for humane immigration practices
💌 Collect letters and drawings of support for ILAP to bring to immigrants being held in Maine detention centers
🔥 Tie handmade blankets for new Mainers and other community members in need, sharing warmth and care with our neighbors
