First Friday Performances

Join us for a First Friday where the galleries will be alive with juxtapositions of movement, voice and image. In the main space, THAW, the premiere of new performative works by Elizabeth Armentino-Burd and Kelly NesbittLorem Ipsum, and Marieke Van Der Steenhoven. Explore themes of choice in What Sex? What Business? What Marriage? by Lorem Ipsum’s Tess Van Horn, indulge in the twitches and convulsions of Marieke Van Der Steenhoven’s [compression], and rejoice in the premiere of Kelly Nesbitt and Elizabeth Burd’s Theatrical Ladies Choir Murmurations. In the annex, NYC-based artist Alex Nathanson and composer Dylan Neely present a program of live video and electric violin and choreographer Rachel Boggia performs Shadow Game, a solo dance/video hybrid.
