Scapegoat Garden flower-making with Deborah Goffe
10:00am-1:00pm
Drop in anytime
From 10am-1pm on Thursday, Deborah Goffe (director of Hartford, CT-based Scapegoat Garden) will lead gallery visitors in crafting the human-scale paper flowers performers and audiences will inhabit in the upcoming performances of Liturgy|Order|Bridge, presented by SPACE at Mechanics’ Hall this June (see below).
With a little crepe paper, hot glue, and patience, we will grow the garden that has been developing around the project since 2017. We are grateful to Mechanics’ Hall for starting these flowers during First Friday Art Walk this month but we need your help to finish them! While crafting these sacred objects for the project, these workshops make space and time for us to channel our world- and community-building capacities together.
Feel free to drop in for at least 20 minutes or stay for as long as you like.
