Horsegirl is a noisy rock trio from Chicago composed of Penelope Lowenstein (she/her), Nora Cheng (she/her), and Gigi Reece (they/them). Horsegirl draws inspiration from shoegaze and post-punk, in the realm of ‘90s American and UK indie underground.

TV Buddha is an American rock band from Chicago, IL. Pop songs and improvisations lead by Eli Schmitt and Johnson Rockstar. They released their debut project ‘Simple Bodies’ in 2023 on Hallogallo tapes.

The boys of Greasy Grass looking ready for summer, sporting tank tops, shorts, and sneakers, in front of a colorful mural wall.

Greasy Grass is a psychedelic pop band from Portland, Maine, USA. Their music is a shifting combination of unbridled psychedelia, vintage saccharine softness, hypnotic garage groove, karaoke bar melodrama, razor sharpness, effortless passivity, warm electronics, changing structures, and film score grandiosity. Though initially amorphous, the duo have enlisted a full, proper band for live performances and are working on a debut full-length album to follow their 2021 EP Abject Luxuria.

🕯️ The dance show of the summer is Scapegoat Garden’s Liturgy|Order|Bridge. The Hartford-based company calls upon Black church traditions and ideas of faith, nature, fashion, and experimentation in their limited performance run June 20-22. Tickets available now, presented by SPACE at Mechanics’ Hall. 🕯️
