House Show #10: Graphic Melee, Mosart 212, Liz Rhaney, and 32french

Monday of the Minds co-presents this special edition of SPACE House Shows, in celebration of hip-hop’s “birthday”. The four-hour mini-marathon features an all-local lineup of DJs and producers: Liz Rhaney, Graphic Melee, 32french, and Mosart212. 

August 11th is widely recognized as the semi-official birthday of hip-hop, as on this day in 1973, pioneering Jamaican-American DJ Kool Herc threw a “Back to School Jam” party on Sedgwick Ave in the Bronx that became the catalyst for this new musical revolution. 

These shows are member-supported and it’s because of our members’ generosity that we’re able to run this concert series and ensure that all performers are paid. We firmly believe in compensating artists fairly and these times are no different.

We will split all donations 50/50 between the musicians and Maine-based organizations focused on racial and social justice. Donations from this show will benefit Maine Inside Out.
