Kids Open Studios
11:00 AM
In preparation for our Field Day bike parade, we will be hosting two June workshops to help you get ready to celebrate. Kids will be able to bring their masks and bike costumes home with them and are invited to show off their creations at the parade on June 30th in Payson Park.
At our June 16th workshop, use your imagination to mod out your bike in anticipation of our upcoming Field Day event where you can parade your work around for everyone to see! We’ll have streamers, flare, materials to make sculptures to attach to your bike and plenty of inspiration to celebrate pedal-powered rides as we gear up for our summer parade. Best suited for kids ages 5-12, but all ages welcome.
This event is free and you are welcome to drop in anytime between 11am-1pm. Leave your bike at home, the day’s creation will be easily attachable.
Kids Open Studios is a series of art making workshops for kids, this workshop is led by SPACE staffer Genevieve Johnson. Each workshop focuses on a specific activity that results in each participant taking home their own hand crafted object.
