Join us for an online celebration of our seventh year of Kindling Fund grantees and hear from a group of artists who represent some of Maine’s most exciting contemporary art practices. This event will be held online via Zoom, Thursday, March 3, from 6:30–8:00pm. Registration is required to attend.

During this online Meet & Greet event, each Kindling Fund 2022 Grantee will give a brief presentation about their work, offering an incredible forum to learn about an array of Maine’s contemporary working artists.

Kindling Fund

The Kindling Fund supports inventive, artist-organized work that engages the public and the visual arts in inventive and meaningful ways. In 2022, SPACE has awarded grants to 15 independent, artist-organized, Maine-based initiatives for this annual cycle of The Kindling Fund. Funded artists value risk, experimentation, unconventional engagement, critical dialogue, and encourage collaboration.
