Join us as the Maine Dancemakers Collaborative presents an evening of work-in-progress performances from Maine artists.

Performances include:

1) walking with by Rori Smith with Augusta Sparks, Megan Mizanty, and Max Laszewski
2) SANKOFA by Kaolack
3) T4T: Theatre for Trans by Sampson Spadafore
4) Heather Flor Cron

Masks required while not eating or drinking.


The Maine Dancemakers Collaborative hosts the inaugural Maine Mini Fest in Portland on Friday, January 12th through Sunday the 14th. This weekend gathering will have dedicated time for Maine’s dance and performance community to network, attend workshops, get further training, see works in progress live, and attend a resource fair for dance makers.

Mini Fest is a project of the Maine Dancemakers Collaborative, a new connective resource for Maine’s dance community.

Maine Mini Fest is funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts. 🕯️ This weekend only! The dance show of the summer is Scapegoat Garden’s Liturgy|Order|Bridge. The Hartford-based company calls upon Black church traditions and ideas of faith, nature, fashion, and experimentation in their limited performance run June 20-22. Tickets available now, presented by SPACE at Mechanics’ Hall. 🕯️
