Music New Brunswick, Maine Arts Commission, and SPACE present… New Brunswick Calling: a Musical Showcase of Our Neighbors to the North.

Back in June, 3 bands, 1 solo artist, 1 DJ, 2 videographers, and 12 music and arts workers from Maine caravanned up to Fredericton, New Brunswick to showcase at the 2022 Flourish Festival. Now some of our Canadians friends are heading down to Maine for a visit. Come out and show them some Portland love!

During First Friday Art Walk, we’ll host a diverse mix of New Brunswick music with experimental rock trio Motherhood, Mi’kmaq rapper-producer-singer Wolf Castle, string duo Pallmer, and eclectic selector DJ Lu. Schedule below.

On Saturday, music and arts workers from Maine and New Brunswick will convene in the morning and afternoon for roundtable conversations and social events. All invited and all welcome. More info here.

Schedule for Friday night:
5:00 – 7:00pm DJ Lu + Techno Worlds gallery show
7:00pm Pallmer
8:00pm Wolf Castle
9:00pm Motherhood

This initiative is supported by the New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, FACTOR, the Government of Canada, the Maine Arts Commission, SPACE Gallery, and the First Amendment Museum.

Funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
