Named by Cahiers du Cinema as the second-best film of all time (behind Citizen Kane), Night of the Hunter stars Robert Mitchum as the itinerant preacher/serial killer with L-O-V-E tattooed on the knuckles of his right hand; H-A-T-E on the left hand. It has been called a horror movie with the qualities of a Grimm fairy tale.
