Brooklyn’s O’Death returns to SPACE on a run of performances to celebrate their 10th year of existence! The New York Times nailed their sound as drawing “from the starkness and spiritual purity of Appalachian folk, the menace of punk and the rowdy theatricality of Tom Waits, jumbling sacred and profane.” Joining the guys of O’Death are three dynamic Maine outfits. Coke Weed‘s stripped down rural-tinged indie rock contains bits of the Velvet Underground and a certain ’60s dreaminess. Butcher Boy and Colby Nathan offer divergent variations of noise-laden folk-punk.

🕯️ This weekend only! The dance show of the summer is Scapegoat Garden’s Liturgy|Order|Bridge. The Hartford-based company calls upon Black church traditions and ideas of faith, nature, fashion, and experimentation in their limited performance run June 20-22. Tickets available now, presented by SPACE at Mechanics’ Hall. 🕯️
