Artist Bios
Ryan Adams is a painter and muralist residing in his hometown of Portland, Maine with his wife, Rachel Gloria. He began emulating the work from his comic books as a child, but when he received his first copy of ‘Subway Art’, at age 10, his life became consumed by bright colors and bending letter forms. His current work is inspired by a pure obsession for letters, as well as attempting to convey human emotions and insecurities through bold imagery inspired by traditional tattoo flash.
Rachel Gloria Adams is a textile designer and painter living in Portland, Maine. Rachel has worked as an arts organizer and educator in Maine and Massachusetts. Her most recent project and business venture TACHEE utilizes imagery she developed through painting as textile print. Rachel and husband, Ryan Adams, have recently taken on a series of murals, Piece Together Project, throughout Portland’s East Bayside neighborhood celebrating locals that have shaped the community.
Bee Daniel is a multi disciplinary non binary trans artist living and working in Portland, Maine.
Kelly Rioux’s work includes recycled and found materials to create portraiture and assemblages; she has facilitated numerous public art projects in cooperation with other artists and community groups in Portland.
Spenser Macleod is an illustrator and muralist in New England. He has developed a loose, flowy, illustrative style and line work that is uniquely all his own. His work draws inspiration from vintage pop culture cartoons and comics, resulting in scenes that are funny, kinetic and invoke a strange yet exciting flashback all at once.
