Palaver Strings: Lifesongs

The Lifesongs Project celebrates the stories of LGBTQ+ people in our local community. Working with professional songwriters and engineers, project participants write and record original songs of love, loss, courage, and affirmation. This project was originally conceived by Palaver Strings cellist Matthew Smith as a songwriting collaboration between queer people and musicians to write, record and celebrate queer voices and experiences. Come show your pride for Maine’s LGBTQ community at Palaver’s Lifesongs Celebration Concert where storytellers will share songs written and recorded from the past few weeks! This event will be followed by a panel discussion with storytellers and their musical guides.
