Palaver Strings: Lifesongs

By performer request, masks will be required at this event for all attendees. We will have masks available at the door.

The Lifesongs Project celebrates the stories of LGBTQ+ people in our local community. Working with professional songwriters and engineers, project participants write and record original songs of love, loss, courage, and affirmation. This project was originally conceived by Palaver Strings cellist Matthew Smith as a songwriting collaboration between queer people and musicians to write, record and celebrate queer voices and experiences. Come show your pride for Maine’s LGBTQ community at Palaver’s Lifesongs Celebration Concert where storytellers will share songs written and recorded just this week! We also welcome a drag performance by drag queen and long-time Lifesongs musician, Toast! This event will be followed by a brief panel discussion and Q&A.
