PortFringe 2018

SPACE is proud to be a host venue again for PortFringe, an unjuried annual theater festival in Portland. This year’s festival, the 7th, will feature roughly 35 individuals and companies presenting more than 125 shows during the week at various venues throughout the city. PortFringe shows are all one hour or less, and start times are staggered, encouraging attendees to take in as much of the fun as they can over the course of the week.

The festival is run by lottery and intended to support new, edgy, and experimental performance throughout the city, reinforcing Portfringe’s core values of being inclusive, intersectional, and unafriad. 

PortFringe 2018 venues are Portland Stage Studio and Storefront (25A Forest Ave); Bright Star World Dance (108 High St); SPACE (538 Congress St), and two stages at Mechanics Hall (519 Congress St). PortFringe Central is again located on street level at Portland Stage.
