Chicago-born, Maine-bred, and Nashville-based, the artist formerly known as milo exists on no earthly plane. The mc, producer, poet, and theorist, R.A.P. Ferreira is one of the world’s foremost practitioners of the Black art tradition commonly categorized as rap.
Sublimation compels the artist to beauty. Even the worker trafficking in ugly does so because they find the truth of the unattractive to be most gorgeous of all. As kindness becomes antiquated and paranoia the normal operating procedure, an art form as indulgent as rap can seem tasteless. Rap requires electricity, speakers, cables, stands, a table, lights, protection from the elements, an audience with at least one dollar. Rap grew with excess and is built from sampling buffet plates of perfection. The styles no longer ring free.
His ambitions are an ever widening vocabulary, a full gas tank, the next tour’s itinerary.
R.A.P. Ferreira will rap forever.

Channing Day a/k/a god.damn.chan is a Portland, Maine-based beatmaker, dj, and producer. Chan’s been a contributor to the Maine scene for well over a decade. Additionally, he’s a founder of Maine-based, hip-hop focused and beat-driven record label, Filthy Records & Tapes. god.damn.chan is also a Low End Theory alumni: the iconic Los Angeles Producer/DJ night that set the standard for countless beatmaker and producer showcases around the world.
