Nadia is Ashley Bennett, currently based in Portland, Maine. She uses a wide range of tones, textures, and frequencies while maintaining a taut sense of tension and sharp balance. Some tracks build in intensity through the layering of what sounds like water, human breath, and various clicks that evoke an ASMR-like sensation. Others take us outside through wide-screen field recordings before introducing synthesizer of nearly inaudible frequencies, cradled by her own whispering voice.
