Southern Maine Workers’ Center Karaoke Night: Intergalactic Solidarity
6:00-10:00pm
The Southern Maine Workers’ Center’s beloved annual karaoke fundraiser is BACK at SPACE to strengthen our communities and build our collective power through a night of singing! In this moment of grief over climate crisis, genocides in Gaza, Sudan, Congo, and more, we plan to hold each other tight and remember how much we all have to gain from a community, a planet, and a galaxy that cares about each and everyone, and we’ll sing our hearts out together to make that our reality!
Join the Workers’ Center as friends and members get on stage and give their silliest, most extravagant, nostalgic and powerful performances— in solidarity with workers here and around the world and galaxy. Maybe even get on stage yourself!
We’ll have food, drinks, good company, art-making, and the chance to support a movement led by workers fighting for liberation for all. In these hard times, let’s hold onto each other across galaxies and see our dreams rising with the stars!
This event will be open to all ages, and will take place in person and on zoom. Masks are required, except for performers when on stage.
