Celebrate Pride in style with line dancing instruction from BTV Queer Country Line Dance, cosmic country from NYC-based CRYS, and high octane mixes from DJ Double Dessert.

Queer Country Line Dance is led by Burlington, Vermont-based friends CG and Grace. At their monthly event in Burlington, they provide a mix of beginner-friendly dances and fancy footwork for the experienced line dancers in the crowd. At Pride Rodeo, Grace and CG are excited to teach several easy-to-follow dances to help kick off the night’s dance party. Beginners are encouraged!

CRYS wasn’t sure that she was Cut Out For Honky Tonkin’. But there once was a woman, known simply as Miss Jim, who played guitar and drank whiskey deep in the hills. Her lyrics and musicality made her a legend in the countryside. Decades later, her great-granddaughter CRYS picked up an old guitar, and followed the calling of her roots. Drawing from iconic influences like Patsy Cline, Curtis Mayfield, Elizabeth Cotten, and The Chicks, CRYS writes “ethereal and groovy” cosmic country and honky tonk songs. Currently touring the northeast promoting her new single “(I Might Not Be) Cut Out For Honky Tonkin’”, she has shared stages with Juno Award winning Kaïa Kater, Yasmin Williams, Kafari, and Julia Cannon. She connects to listeners, ancestors, and the countryside of her heritage, by playing banjo and hollowbody guitar.

Double Dessert aka Katie Webb is a local DJ that’s been getting you on the dance floor since 2016. From her former monthly at Flask, Drip Sweat, to partnering with Planned Parenthood and Speak About It, she’s been making you shake all over town!
