StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit whose mission is to provide people of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives. One of the largest oral history projects of its kind, StoryCorps has collected and archived more than 50,000 interviews from 95,000 participants. Interviews are archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress and select stories are broadcast on NPR’s Morning Edition. Currently StoryCorps operates booths in San Francisco, Chicago, and Atlanta, and has a traveling MobileBooth.
