Poems and stories — voices of the incarcerated men at the Maine State Prison — culled from a 15 week restorative justice and creative writing workshop class led by Professor Robert Bernheim and artist-in-residence Myles Bullen. Live performance, video documentation, writing, reflection, and sharing.

The poems and stories that came from these workshops were set to music and visuals. This film— made by Sarah Violette— will be premiered at the event.

After the film, participants will be invited to engage in a simple communal writing exercise and sharing circle.

💥 Wanna start something new? The Kindling Fund awards project grants ranging from $3,000-$7,000 to Maine-based artists of all career levels — apply by November 24th!
