With Vasko Dukovski

The Cassatt Quartet, one of the contemporary-classical world’s most highly-regarded string quartets presents a program of new and recent works, in collaboration with the celebrated Macedonian clarinetist Vasko Dukovski. Featured composers include the Pulitzer Prize-winning Melinda Wagner, Bowdoin music department chair Vineet Shende, USM composer-in-residence Dan Sonenberg, Jewish composer and cantor Gerald Cohen, and Russian violinist and film composer Lev Zhurbin. The concert is part of the 16th annual Seal Bay Festival of American Chamber Music‘s 10-days of concerts and events in Belfast, Vinalhaven, Waterville, Brunswick, and Portland.

There will be a post-concert reception and meet-and-greet with the musicians and composers.
