Celebrate the solstice with chamber music and seascapes, featuring music by composers of color and queer composers performed by some of Maine’s most thoughtful musicians.

Vigorous Tenderness is an experimental outdoor concert series that brings audiences to meaningful outdoor spaces and invites them to re-engage safely with acoustic sound. These immersive performances resemble an art museum experience, with chamber music in harmony with the landscape as the audience follows a path of listening and reflection.

Featuring music by Hannah KendallMelody McKiverShelley WashingtonAngelica NegronFreddie BryantOlivia Kieffer, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Performed by Anna Maria Amoroso Noyes, Matt Consul, Eric Yim, Kallie Sugatski, Maya French, Katherine Liccardo, Matt Smith, Sam Schuth, Christina Chute, Brian Shankar Adler, Meg McIntyre, Brianna Fischler, Suki Flanagan, Will Wohler, Jordan Guerette, Jonathan Prak, and more.

Please arrive between 6:00 and 6:45pm, and move through the installation at your own pace.
