Guiding lights of the Kesho Wazo youth art collective, Wazo Daveed and Wazo Zaya Universejoin forces for a powerful set of uplifting beats & rhymes. They’ll be joined by special guests, Drey Armani and DJ sets by Af1Shawty and DJ Freeit.

Kesho Wazo, “Tomorrow’s Ideas” in Swahili, is an Portland-based youth art collective. The group was created as an outlet for young people to express themselves through art, music, fashion, and social advocacy. The group has been taking their message to the music scene, from open mics to their own WazoFest to traveling for shows out of state. Now it’s your turn to see the progress… Many unreleased tracks will be played throughout the night, as a preview of Kesho Wazo’s sophomore album, scheduled to released this spring.
