It should come as no surprise that after years of touring with his band Monotonix, once hailed by SPIN as “the most exciting live band in rock’n’roll,” that Yonatan Gat would carry that same intensity with his group. Live, his power trio is experienced inside the audience, on the floor, with low lighting as the band tears through “a wholly fresh fusion of psychedelic sounds and rhythms from around the globe, with nods to free jazz and served with an unabashed punk spirit”. Gat’s wildly inventive guitar style assumes simultaneous lead and rhythm roles, blending punk-rock with Middle Eastern styles. He’s backed by the unparalleled hard-hitting grooves of Brian Chase (long-time drummer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, collaborator of Tyondai Braxton, Man Forever) and the deep melodic anchor of Sergio Sayeg (bassist of Brazilian psych-rockers Garotas Suecas). 

Yonatan & co will be joined by the opulent pop epics of Brooklyn quintet Friend Roulette and freak-flag-waving fuzz of Portland’s Diva Cup​.
