Sunny Side Up
Lindsay Preston Zappas
In the Window
Lindsay Preston Zappas, a San Diego native, is currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Art in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Zappas’ work is strongly rooted in Californian identity, and embraces the visceral, melding it with the compositional; union of body and object, prop and sculpture, photograph and subject. Her sculptural practice is supported by photography, collage and drawing, and is constantly interested in how these forms communicate, meld, and often layer to create meaning.
Sunny Side Up expands on her recent body of work rooted in themes of suburban identity with a sculptural installation made of stitched together pegboard, contact paper, rubber chickens, and yarn.
