SPACE worked with Friends of Congress Square Park to commission artist Michael Clyde Johnson to design and build Untitled Patio with Benches and Planter in Congress Square Park to help activate this underused public space for the summer of 2014. The piece was built in collaboration with Youthbuild, a program of LearningWorks, a youth development program in Portland.
In conjunction with this piece, SPACE and Friends of Congress Square Park will be coordinating a series of public activities and events in the square throughout the summer.
