Christian Adame, Secretary

Christian Adame (he/him) is an arts administrator and organizer with over 20 years of diverse experience in museums. As a queer, Latinx educator, he works to elevate and integrate marginalized perspectives within institutional space through programming, interpretation, teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He has held various education positions at the California State Archives, the Crocker Art Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, and the Portland Museum of Art, where he was the Peggy L. Osher Director of Learning and Community Collaboration for over five years. Currently, he is the Mirken Director of Learning and Engagement at the Colby College Museum of Art in Waterville, Maine, where he oversees academic engagement, community outreach, school programs, and visitor experience. He has received awards and fellowships from the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC), The Getty Leadership Institute, The Teaching Institute in Museum Education, and the American Alliance of Museums. He earned his B.A. in Art History from the University of California, Davis.
